I’m Hannah & I’m a light & airy Cheshire Wedding Photographer and when I am not photographing real weddings I absolutely love to get involved in styled shoots. They are such a great way to work at lovely venues, meet amazing suppliers and a chance to be creative and try things I might not have time to do on a fast paced wedding day.

When I heard of the opportunity to be involved in this amazing styled shoot at Swanley Meadows I jumped at the chance. Swanley Meadows is local to myself and is a family run outdoor tipi wedding venue based in Congelton, Cheshire. As soon as I arrived I felt such a friendly & warm atmosphere and this really is a lovely wedding venue for people who would love to include their love of nature and the outdoors.

Inspiration

I had an image in my mind of an outdoor summer wedding with a fun, relaxed vibe and lots of flowers in soft pastel shades. I wanted it to demonstrate how fresh flowers can transform a space and make it feel personal and unique to each couple. The final colour palette consisted of shades of pastel pink, lilac, blue, peach, and yellow, which were reflected in the flowers, favours and cake. I chose pale blue for the table linen, candles, groom’s tie and bouquet ribbons for a cohesive look.

How did it all come together?

I had been following Swanley Meadows on Instagram for a while and I knew it would be the perfect location for the shoot. I contacted Jenny, the venue owner, and she got back to me saying she was up for it but there was just one catch. Due to site logistics, we would have to do the shoot on the 16th June, which was just 9 days away!

She may have been half joking, but I’m not one to shy away from a challenge, so I spent that night reaching out to other suppliers who I thought would be a good fit. By the following morning I’d gathered almost everyone we needed. Between us we managed to find the last few people and we were good to go!

The day of the shoot was beautiful and sunny, and as I arrived at the venue the scenery genuinely took my breath away. The day flew by and it was so lovely to spend time in the sunshine getting creative with lots of other talented wedding suppliers.

I was absolutely over the moon to be asked to feature in the County Brides magazine and even more overjoyed to see this gorgeous photoshoot made the front cover!
